YDT 14&15, Tex Edwards & Joe Patti Barge Dive Report 8-8-17
We were busy divers today! We hit the YDT 14 & 15 in the morning. GREAT DIVE – 40 ft vis, water temp 80, with lots of marine encounters 🙂 Spotted Eagle Ray, Green and Spotted Moray Eels and a HUGE Turtle
That afternoon we hit the Tex Edwards with 30-40 ft vis, a water temp of 82 at depth and a slight surface current. Several scorpion fish were hiding among the wreck and the bait balls of fish were swirling all around while hungry AJ’s swooped in for lunch. We hit the Joe Patti Barge to finish the day. The vis was diminishing as the day was getting later, only about 10 ft. Water temp was 86 at the surface and 84 at depth with a decent surface current. Tons of bait fish on this wreck too, with some scrawled cowfish playing among the sculptures.
